The water hack: A cybersecurity fiction

Hackers are trained (or train themselves) to think ahead of the average person. They take their time to study a system, an organisation, a country etc in order to understand vulnerabilities and loopholes. The scenario in the story below describes a water hack. Its a fiction and was written in order to sensitize individuals, municipalities, organisations, governments, schools and the society about what can be hacked, how a hacker thinks and the response plan that might be helpful when such attacks are staged against any system in reality.
